The Exodus Story

Fall Sermon Series

The story of The Exodus

The people of God had spent hundreds of years in slavery in Egypt before they were given their freedom by pharaoh.  However, after their liberation as they journeyed to “the promised land,” they spent forty years wandering the wilderness, trying to find their way to a new life and a new land.

The story of the exodus speaks to us today

If you are like most of us, this COVID-19 quarantine has been a very disorienting experience.  Many folks have reported losing their bearings as to what day of the week it is.  Others feel confused about what the best path for our society might be as we try to make our forward out of this COVID wilderness!  In this time of uncertainty and fear, it is helpful to take a look back and learn from the lessons of our forbears in the faith.  The story of the Exodus is an extremely timely way for us to learn from them, to find solace and comfort in God’s providence, and to remember who we are and where we’ve been.

The story of the exodus comes alive  each sunday!

We will be exploring ten different stories of the Exodus in our upcoming worship services/videos over the coming weeks from August 23rd-October 25th.  All services and sermons will be archived on our website if you happen to be unable to join us live on Sunday morning.
