Get Involved

We are busy actively serving God in all sorts of different ways here at First Church!  We would love for you to join us at any of our upcoming Sunday services be it in-person or online via Facebook Live. 

Other opportunities to get involved here at First Church include our Children’s and Youth Ministries, programming for our young adults, weekly Sunday School classes, United Methodist Men’s and Women’s groups, and other small groups.

Holy Week 2023

Easter Egg Hunt

Join us on April 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for our annual Easter egg hunt. Come out and enjoy a time of fellowship including Easter crafts, and a story. The egg hunt will take place on the church lawn in front of the main parking lot. A hotdog lunch will be served in Langford Hall.

Palm Sunday

Join us on April 2 at either our 9 a.m. or 11 a.m. service for Palm Sunday. 

Maundy Thursday

Join us for a service and communion on Thursday, April 6  7 p.m. in Langford Hall.

Easter Sunrise Service 

Join us at 7 a.m. for our sunrise service followed by breakfast in Langford Hall. There will be no regular 9 a.m. worship service this day. Sunday School will still take place at 10 a.m. 

Easter Sunday Service

Join us at 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary for our Easter Sunday service. 

Fifth Sunday Combined Service & Meal—Sunday, April 30  

Sunday School at 9 a.m. – Combined Worship Service at 10 a.m. in the Sanctuary – Catered Meal in Langford Hall following worship – Menu: Baked Chicken, Cream Potatoes, Vegetables, Salad, Rolls, and Dessert – Debbie Suggs Catering

Sunday, May 21: Graduate Sunday & Church Picnic following Worship at Lake Corriher Wilderness Park

Summer 2023

Sunday, July 9: Combined Service at 10 a.m. – King’s Cadence Quartet will be leading worship. KC Armstrong is the bass singer for this group.

Vacation Bible School

July 16-19–All children ages three years to fourth grade are invited to join us for Bible School this summer. We will have dinner each night at 5:30 p.m. before we explore different Bible stories through, crafting, science, recreation and more. This year’s theme is “Hero Hotline: Called together to serve God!” Stay tuned for registration open dates. 

Youth Sunday – On July 30 our Youth will be leading worship.

Back to School Bash

Come out on Saturday, Aug.5 and enjoy free food, carnival games, snow cones, and receive free school supplies for the upcoming school year.
